This cooking spoon was carved with hatchet and knife from a windfallen paper birch near our shop. This was very enjoyable to carve from nice, fine grain birch wood. The spoon has been lightly baked and sealed with pure tung oil finish, which is food safe. The tip of the spoon is oval for stirring, scooping, and serving. The handle has a simple sunburst design, topped with a decorative finial. It is a very friendly looking spoon.

This spoon is 11" long. The bowl is approximately 3 1/2" long and 2 1/4" wide. Carved without use of machinery or sandpaper, the spoon has a traditional whittled knife finish.
Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry with a cloth. Hand wash only for years of enjoyment.
