Meet "Pointy" a birch wood cooking spoon, carved with hatchet and knife. This was very enjoyable to carve from beautiful spalted grain birch wood. The spoon has been lightly baked and sealed with pure tung oil finish, which is food safe. The tip of the spoon is carved into a sturdy point, for scraping every morsel from the edges of bowls and saucepans. The bowl of the spoon is deeply scooped for serving portions.

This spoon has a character of its own, and I just had to name it "Pointy". A reliable tool in the kitchen that can also make a good chef smile.

This spoon is 12" long. The bowl is approximately 3 1/2" long and 2 1/4" wide. Carved without use of machinery or sandpaper, the spoon has a traditional whittled knife finish.

Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry with a cloth. Hand wash only for years of enjoyment.
