New from our custom shop! Western Hazel kitchen brooms, while supplies last...
Beautiful hazel branch, with rich hues. Balanced and comfortable in the hands.
Slender, smooth, and sturdy - western hazel is a superb material for making brooms. Nice and straight, giving the broom an efficient, lightweight and balanced feel. The bark of western hazel has warm reddish brown hues. When sanded smooth it resembles pecan shells or dark deer antlers. This branch has been tortured and scarred by natural elements, giving it a very old appearance.
This broom is 54" long overall. The sweep is 10" wide, thick and full. The handle averages approximtely 1" in diameter. We apply natural beeswax wood finish to protect the wood. A leather loop is provided for hanging. The broom is perfectly balanced, and sweeps nicely right or left. This is a broom to be cherished, and enjoyed.
Ready to ship. You will receive this very broom.
We have a strong passion for brooms - creating them, learning about them, and using them. Each broom we offer is built by hand using 1800's methods borrowed from the Shakers. In our small workshop in the Pacific Northwest, we weave them one at a time. Every broom is unique, and designed to last for many years. Our ambition is to offer brooms of the finest craftsmanship -- and give each one our personal guarantee of quality.
Our best wishes
Kevin & Sarah
