Lodgepole pine is a sturdy, lightweight handle. Collected locally in the Okanogan Highlands, Washington, the wood is smooth, straight, balanced & feels comfortable in the hands. The bark has been whittled from the branch, and the wood sanded smooth. There are character knots and interesting colors on the handle. The wood is coated with natural beeswax finish. A leather loop is provided for hanging on a hook. Stitch flat with linen twine.
Ready to ship. You will receive this very broom.
This broom is 56" long overall. The sweep is 19" wide, perfect for cleaning up in the kitchen or porch. This is a work broom, medium in weight, with a nice balanced feel. It will look quite elegant hanging on the wall between uses.
We have a strong passion for brooms - creating them, learning about them, and using them. Each broom we offer is built by hand using 1800's methods borrowed from the Shakers. In our small workshop in the Okanogan Highlands, we weave them one at a time. Every broom is unique, and designed to last for many years. Our ambition is to offer brooms of the finest craftsmanship -- and give each one our personal guarantee of quality.
Our best wishes
