Ready to ship. You will receive this very broom.
Sturdy, and full of character! The Western Larch handles are collected in the Okanogan Highlands, Washington. Locally called tamarack, larch is fine grained, straight and strong. The bark has been whittled from the branch, and the wood sanded smooth. The wood is coated with natural beeswax finish. A leather loop is provided for hanging on a hook. At home in the kitchen or porch, at work or play!
This broom is 58" long overall. The sweep is approximately 11" wide, perfect for cleaning up in the kitchen or porch. It is a long, slender broom, light in weight, and a nice balanced feel. It will look quite elegant hanging on the wall between uses.
We have a strong passion for brooms - creating them, learning about them, and using them. Each broom we offer is built by hand using 1800's methods borrowed from the Shakers. In our small workshop in the Pacific Northwest, we weave them one at a time. Every broom is unique, and designed to last for many years. Our ambition is to offer brooms of the finest craftsmanship -- and give each one our personal guarantee of quality.
Our best wishes
Kevin & Sarah
